Do you know how to measure a brachial perimeter? Know why it can help save lives? (press play for the answer)
Your gift is training women and community members in East DRC. Teaching them how to assess and monitor children for signs of malnutrition and ensuring there are resources available when cases are identified.
Since 2020, over 4600 children have successfully received life-saving support. Our staff, local health experts and trained community volunteers have all worked together to achieve this outcome!
It takes a village :)

Brachial perimeter this way!
In 2025, we expanded our work to reach even more rural areas in East DRC.
Your gift is now helping children in Nyabanira, Kasave, Katwiguru, and Kiseguro.
World Vision cannot be everywhere, all the time — that's not sustainable, or wise. But what we can do is...
Work with community leaders, incredible volunteers and local government, ensuring they have the systems and skills needed to act, regardless of whether we're there or not.
Our work ensures mighty women such as Muhawe can step up and lead the charge in the fight against malnutrition.
"I screen children and make sure they get treatment. I follow up with families, reminding them that therapeutic food alone isn’t enough. They need a balanced diet too. Only after helping them can, I allow myself to go home," Muhawe explains.
When knowledge is shared, entire villages grow stronger and that's sustainable impact and that's the power of your gift!
